How would I connect my GE single pole Motion Sensor light switch ?
On the motion sensor light switch, it is (2 black wires and 1 green wire)
hanging out the wall, I have 1 orange, 1 red and 1 blue wire. Mind you that the switch I had previously, had 2 single light switches(one light for the closet and 1 light for the kitchen). How do I connect my Motion sensor light switch to my hook ups in the wall
The orange, red and blue wires are against code. Someone has put those in there and should not have used those colors. The code is: Green = ground
White= common
black= hot
Red and blue wires are the color code for 220 volts.
You don't have a black or white, so we have no clue which wire is which. If I was there I would use a voltmeter to figure it out, but I can't do it online.
If you can tell me where the orange, red, and blue wires each go, I can tell you how to wire the sensor light switch.
