Vintage Surfboard
Can anyone give me ideas for re-doing my room.?
I am a surf/snow obessed teen girl. I live by the snow and waves. I'm finally re-doing my room and my theme is vintage-california surf. My color pallet is the Roxy surfboard that I intend on mounting on my wall. For the bedding I have quilted white with rainbow stripes. How can I add more of my theme into my room? What colors can I paint my walls? What little touches can I add to it. Thanks.

I'm practically exactly like you, except I don't live by the ocean so I don't have the surf part but I love to snowboard.
I would suggest lime green walls with wood accents (to bring in the theme of the ski lodge and surf)
Put the head of your bed against the window, if possible.
Next to your bed I would place 3 floating shelves on your walls (you can get them shaped like surfboards/snowboards). Place memoirbelia, medals, seashells, whatever makes you happy when you look at them.
Next to or above your bed, put pictures of you snowboarding and surfing. Then put pictures of scenery, what you love, and friends.
Next your bed place a couple brown floor pillows down so you can chill with your friends. Mount your surfboard on the wall facing this area.
For the final touch, hang a very very big cream colored lantern above the sitting area.
And for the area near your door or anyother empty spaces, just mount brown framed pictures in uneven spaces so it looks kind of mismatched.
Just put your own personal touch and you will go far.
